What personal information does NCW Tires collect?

NCW Tires collects only what a tire and wheel shop needs to quote and complete work. The categories below match the California Consumer Privacy Act categories.

  • Identifiers: name, phone number, email address, and postal address.
  • Vehicle information: year, make, model, trim, mileage, current tire size, and photos you upload of your vehicle.
  • Commercial information: services requested, quotes issued, invoices, and payment records held by our payment processor.
  • Internet activity: pages viewed on ncwtires.com, referring page, browser type, and general location derived from IP address.
  • Employment information: resume and application details if you apply for a job.

Where does the information come from?

  • Directly from you, through the quote form, the appointment form, phone calls, text messages, email, and in-person visits.
  • Automatically from your device when you browse the site, through cookies and similar technologies.
  • From third parties we work with, including financing partners who confirm approval status and tire suppliers who confirm fitment or order status.

Why does NCW Tires use my information?

  • To prepare quotes and confirm tire and wheel fitment for your specific vehicle.
  • To schedule, perform, invoice, and warranty service work.
  • To contact you about your vehicle by phone, email, or text if you asked us to.
  • To handle warranty claims, road hazard claims, and manufacturer rebates.
  • To keep records required by California tax, warranty, and consumer protection law.
  • To measure how the site is used so we can improve it.

Does NCW Tires sell or share my personal information?

NCW Tires does not sell personal information for money. However, advertising and analytics tools placed on a website can count as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, even when no money changes hands. If NCW Tires runs advertising or analytics pixels, those pixels may transmit identifiers and browsing activity to the platform that supplies them.

You can opt out at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. NCW Tires also honors the Global Privacy Control browser signal.

Who does NCW Tires disclose information to?

  • Service providers who host the website, deliver email, and process payments.
  • Third-party financing companies, only when you choose to apply, and only the information their application requires.
  • Tire, wheel, and suspension manufacturers and distributors for ordering, fitment verification, warranty, and rebate processing.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms, if pixels are active, as described above.
  • Law enforcement or other parties when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.

How long does NCW Tires keep my information?

Quote requests that do not become work orders are retained for {{QUOTE_RETENTION_PERIOD}}. Invoices, work orders, and warranty records are retained for at least four years because tire and installation warranty claims can arise years after a sale. Text message consent records are retained for at least five years. Job applications are retained for {{APPLICANT_RETENTION_PERIOD}}. Website analytics data is retained for {{ANALYTICS_RETENTION_PERIOD}}.

What are my California privacy rights?

  • Right to know what personal information we collected, the sources, the purpose, and who we disclosed it to.
  • Right to delete personal information we collected, subject to warranty, tax, and legal record exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. NCW Tires does not use sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics.
  • Right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Prices and service are the same either way.

How do I submit a privacy request and how is my identity verified?

Submit a request by emailing info@ncwtires.com with the subject line Privacy Request, or by calling (760) 737-7141. To verify your identity we match at least two data points already in our records, such as the phone number on your work order and the vehicle on the invoice. For deletion requests we may ask for a third data point. An authorized agent may submit a request with written permission signed by you, and we may still verify your identity directly.
